it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are a community and Title I school with limited resources and are in need of your support! We are composed of an extremely culturally diverse group of young ladies ranging from grades 9-12 from a variety of economic backgrounds. The parents and guardians of the girls have already given what they could to support this brand new team and trying to fundraise within chancellor's regulations, but with very little to no funding, we still need your help to purchase cheerleading essentials, POM POMS!
My Project
As a brand new team, pom poms will allow the girls to finally feel like an actual cheerleading team. Thanks to a few donors of our previous project, we were able to receive 15 pairs of pom poms but there are 27 girls on the team. We need 12 more pairs for everyone to have their own pair to cheer on the sidelines at games and fundraising events. At the moment, they are sharing pom poms, one per cheerleader; which is not ideal. With pom poms, they will be able to perform their cheers with more enthusiasm and excitement. The girls will be able to add emphasis to their cheers and dances, while attracting the attention of the fans and the opposing team.
