My Students

Our team practices 2x/week for 2+ hours. They cheer for sports teams and perform at community events in NY. We are currently working hard so we can compete. Our biggest challenge is having enough practice time & space. Our motto is to "Stay Fierce" b/c it is what we bring to games and life!

Our team is composed of an extremely culturally diverse group of young ladies and men ranging from grades 9-12.

They attend a very select Science, Math and Technology School in the New York City area. Our team has shown enormous courage, dedication, and hard-work by spending several hours per week learning new cheerleading techniques including dances, jumps, and stunts. We have a very fun-loving, enthusiastic, and endearing team that is determined to enhance their skills enough to participate in competitions in the area.

My Project

We are in need of t-shirts to promote pride for both our cheerleading team and our school. Students will use the t-shirts as a secondary uniform to advocate our love for cheerleading and our school. To us, pride is something that can’t be measured; it describes our passion and satisfaction for our school and the opportunities that they have given us. But, unfortunately, we don’t currently have a way to express pride and believe that having group t-shirts will be the great way to show pride. Additionally, we would like to these shirts to provide further unity and team cohesiveness; we plan to have a party where the team can decorate and sign each other’s shirts.

With this donation, students will feel a sense of comradery and pride for their team.

This will also give them the opportunity to work together to complete this project. Team work is an essential life skill that they will not only build by being part of this sport, but also by participating in this team t-shirt making project.
