My Students

The CSS cheerleading team is composed of talented, dedicated, intelligent, and diverse students who travel from all over the New York City Metropolitan area to attend. Our school is a select STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) school in partnership with Columbia University. We are the only select STEM school that represents the true diverse margins of New York City.

Both our varsity and junior varsity cheerleading teams have had huge successes both in school and outside in our community!

Over the past few years, we have been invited to participate in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, Columbia University Games, Harlem Shamrock Festival, a 5K run for charity and other community events. In addition, we have also competed and won numerous competitions throughout the NYC area!

My Project

With these cheer sleeves, we will be able to diversify our uniforms and adjust to temperature changes. Cheerleading is a very active sport but temperature plays a big role in safety. With these sleeves, we will be able to keep our cheerleaders warm when the temperatures are not ideal for stunting and tumbling.

These new cheer sleeves will also better emphasize the motions that the students are performing!

The dark color sleeves in contrast with their white uniforms help emphasize their movements and make them pop in order to catch the attention of the judges and the audience.

Lastly, the sleeves allow us to diversify our wardrobe. With these sleeves, we will be able to have different outfits for the various events that we represent.
