Help me give my students the opportunity to check out our classroom books! An iPad will give us an in-class library book checkout system so the students can take books home from class.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We have a plethora of books I have collected over my 21 years of teaching that the kids would love to check out and take home. Unfortunately, without an accountability system, many of our books have "disappeared" over time and are not easily replaced. Having an iPad would enable us to have a library checkout app that we can use for kids to take books home to read. Having access to books at home is not always a reality for students in our school and I would love to provide them the opportunity to explore more literature and the joy of reading!
