My 80 awesome students are continually striving to learn to read or perfect their reading.
We practice guided reading daily, and students are able to take home books from my classroom library on their independent reading level.

How cool is this? A book vending machine exists! We want/need one! This vending machine will be housed inside the school and will be filled with books for the entire school. It is a great way to encourage reading and motivate learners.
This book vending machine will be used as a school-wide incentive, where students can earn special golden tokens for reaching reading goals, positive behaviors, grade improvement, work ethic, and good character.
The vending machine will be filled with a variety of genres and leveled readers to meet our students' reading needs. Once a student receives the golden token, they will place the token in the vending machine and pick a book. Students will be able to keep the book and take it home to their own personal library.
This book vending machine will create an atmosphere of excitement around reading and foster lifelong readers!
