it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The beginning of the school year is always an exciting time for teachers and students. It's also a time when I start planning for success. These materials will help me get ready to have a productive, safe, and rewarding year. I'm the school counselor and I teach social and emotional learning to whole class and small groups. But if students are hungry, it's difficult to manage their emotions and popcorn is one of the cheapest, non-sugary snacks to give students who need a physical and motivational boost Of course, the easiest way to get popcorn to kids is with a microwave. The refrigerator is to store perishable snacks like string cheese which is high in protein. And the vacuum and wipes are to keep my room clean, healthy, and soothing. And finally, occupied students are happy students who keep on task. I've included portable tetherball poles with locking chains because one of the best ways to blow off steam is hitting a tetherball as hard as you can and then watching it sour. It's also a great social and emotional object lesson.
