Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love my students because they have grit and they won’t quit! Our theme this year is Chasing our Dreams. My kids are focused on what they want to be when they grow up as part of a school wide program called AVID. AVID stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination.
These resources of markers and crafting supplies will allow them to be creative while they learn about the different jobs and trades they can do when they are finished with school.
These supplies and books will encourage them to learn more about their future careers and open up more possibilities than just a job they have to do, but a job they love to do. The AVID program focuses on teaching students how to organize their materials so they can do their work without misplacing those materials. The corner cabinet will allow my students access to a corner of my classroom to organize those materials for easier access.
