This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from hardworking families on the West Side of Chicago. They are incredibly bright and have an enormous capacity to learn, to work diligently, and to succeed! I wish to match their incredible efforts with the best possible resources here in our learning community.
At this time, when critical thinking is often disregarded in favor of "alternative facts," my students and I are trying our best each day to promote the crafting of logical claims and the citation of relevant evidence.

My Project
My students wish to share their brilliant ideas with others through the use of colorful posters hung throughout our school community. Poster boards, wall-safe tape and supports, and chisel markers can be cost-prohibitive for most, but we have an opportunity here through DonorsChoose to provide our kiddos with sticky note anchor charts that can be posted—and reposted—for years to come!
