Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a highly enthusiastic and diverse group of learners! They come from wonderful families with a strong commitment to education, who will support their children as best as they can to achieve successfully in the classroom and in the future.
Unfortunately, as this is a Title I school, many students do not have academic support beyond what I provide in the classroom.
It is my job to make school as fun and enriched as possible. I believe that enhancing the curriculum with supportive resources will enable my students to go further academically.
My Project
My students love to have resources available in the classroom to support their learning. Through the workshop model, I teach content and then they explore on their own, in groups, or in partnerships to delve deeper. Process charts highlight the work we’re doing, providing resources to support their autonomy without relying on teacher direction. My creative and artistic side allows me to bring colorful and brilliant charts into the classroom, and these supplies would go a long way in making that happen. Please help my students to have helpful, colorful and student-centered resources to support their continued growth and learning.
