Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Enthusiasm. Humor. Joy. Eagerness. Character. These are just a few words that can describe what I see every day! My students come from a diverse background, but they come mostly from disadvantaged situations that create bigger and more difficult challenges for these young children.
Making learning fun and engaging is a priority of mine, and sometimes you have to step outside the box.
I am constantly searching new and exciting ways to present information that might otherwise be "boring" with the hope that not only academic needs will be met, but also emotional and social needs.
My Project
My students are very active learners and we need space to create interactive anchor charts, graphic organizers, visuals, word lists, and brainstorming as we move through our lessons. This chart stand will give us the space to write and create, and it will also give us space to store our markers, erasers, and other supplies. It also allows for the students to be involved in creating charts and graphs to use throughout the weeks, as needed. This project will most certainly keep us "standing tall" and rolling through the lessons!
