My Project
I work with young children with autism (5-7 year old boys and girls in an 8:1:1 setting) and we recently moved into a new school building. Unfortunately we were given furniture that was left in the building and not appropriate for our students needs. My students need to have activities directly in front of them in order for them to stay focused. We currently have a chart stand that was left but is only held together by duct tape. It is only a matter of days before it collapses completely!
Help give my students a chart stand where they can come up and create pictures and encourage beginning writing skills.
Through the use of a chart stand, my students who need lots of visuals and manipulatives in front of them, will be able to create pictures and participate in art, reading, and writing activities.
Please consider donating to my project to help my students receive the supplies they need and help keep them focused on the activity in front of them!
