This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting an outdoor playhouse to give my Transitional Kindergarten (TK) students a magical space to explore, pretend, and learn. Outdoor play is essential for young children’s development, promoting creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration. A playhouse would serve as a hub for dramatic play, allowing students to take on different roles, practice communication skills, and build friendships.

Beyond imaginative play, the playhouse will also encourage cooperative play, as children work together to create stories and scenarios.

The structure will also support their gross motor skills as they move around, balance, and navigate the space. The addition of an outdoor playhouse will enrich our outdoor learning environment, making recess and outdoor exploration even more meaningful.

My students are vibrant and energetic, and they love playing outside! The children will be beyond excited to have a house to call their own. Your generosity will help provide a space where our youngest learners can dream, explore, and grow.
