This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

"We can close the gap and improve what happens in the classroom by using educational technology that is the same high quality everywhere." - Major Owens
How do we prepare our kids for the future?
We need to educate them about the world around them because they will be the ones leading our world in years to come.
I have a variety of student reading abilities and they are all coming from a variety of cultural backgrounds and socio-economic status'. My school and classroom is a place that encourages students to think critically and be problem solvers without the fear of taking a risk and making a mistake.

Technology changes and evolves daily. What better way to teach our kids to investigate, create, and collaborate with others than by using technology?
This year, my students will have Chromebooks to use in the classroom, giving them the opportunity to find the answers to questions they have pondered as they are learning new information and create various products and work with other students simultaneously using Office 365 online.
Because of this technology, students need to be able to effectively store and charge them. I am requesting cases to keep the Chromebooks protected, a Luxor/Wilson charging box to keep them locked up and safe when not in use, and headphones due to a limited supply.
More than half of students from low‑income households
