My Students
The students in our room are enrolled at an elementary school in Reno, Nevada. The culture of our school is special, and students maintain a high level of academic achievement, gain ample opportunities to work with the arts and have built a pretty amazing culture over the last 50 years.
In our room, students work hard and strive to be on a path to college, career and civic readiness.
All students enjoy working with challenging and complex materials that ensure academic and social success.
My Project
Help give my students a laptop charging station to ensure charged computers for our instructional efforts. We will be blending a lot of our efforts this school year and a charging station will allow things to run smoothly. Moreover, because of a previous effort, we have 6 iPads and the charging station will keep these charged.
A follower of our classroom blog will see that every effort is made to infuse technology, where appropriate, with the content we are working with.
This allows for all students access to materials, instruction that is differentiated for students who needs things read out loud, and a way for students to convert text to speech. Keeping things charged is difficult and the Kensington charging station will fix this.
