During the pandemic, the city has donated many iPads to the students of NYC while they were remotely learning. Unfortunately, many of the chargers have stopped working and now that we are in-person learning, we do not have enough chargers to charge the classroom devices. My students are eager to learn and love using their iPads during our daily lessons.
Learning is limitless when it comes to technology.
Whether my students are listening, actively engaging, researching, or creating their own work, their academic and social-emotional needs are being reached. I believe all children are unique and that's why it is important for me to provide my students with a variety of opportunities to learn. The access to technology in our classroom has allowed my students to explore many modes of learning.
This project would give our classroom a charging station to store the iPads and chargers to keep the iPads charged up if they are running low or a child was unable to charge their iPad at home. It would also allow the children to be able to write neatly during our use of PearDeck by using the special pen for the iPad screen.
