My Students

My students are excited learners who love to work collaboratively and online.

Coming from low socio-economic backgrounds, many do not get the opportunity to venture far from their immediate surroundings. It is my hope in my Literacy/Social Studies classroom to give them a chance to have technology resources in our classroom for research, exploration, and easy access for literature.

Our goal is to be leaders in the global community, and we would enjoy having the opportunity to get online with a new iPad.

My Project

"There are three things to remember when teaching: know your stuff; know whom you are stuffing; and then stuff them elegantly," Lola May.

Having the ability to keep our devices charged and ready for use in our classroom would give my students the opportunity to have immediate hands-on experiences with research and online discovery while mastering 4th grade social studies skills using technology.

I want students to be able to use various websites in order to reach out to other classrooms, take virtual field trips, and research topics for unit topics in social studies. Students will also use this technology to create digital presentations for their classmates through various software programs. Students can learn so much when they own their learning and teach others as well. Help us develop into great thinkers and speakers.
