My Students
Our school is located in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. Despite the many disadvantages that most of them face, my students enter my classroom every morning with smiles on their faces. They love to explore new things. They are very active, hands-on learners, who are always willing to work hard every day to accomplish their goals. They are amazing students!
We are a Title 1 school where all of our students receive a grant for free breakfast and lunch.
Most of our students families face severe financial hardships, as our county is a very poverty-stricken, low socioeconomic county.
My Project
This storage cart will help me provide my students with Chromebooks that are charged and ready to use every day. We use the Chromebooks daily to enhance learning in our classroom.
When my students have Chromebooks that are fully charged and ready to go, they are able to work independently on improving math and reading skills.
I assign weekly assignments that must be completed on their Chromebooks. We have limited space in our classroom and this cart would allow me to ensure that every device is stored neatly and charged for the next day.
