Help me give my students a charging station, charging cords, and new headphones, so they will be organized and able to access our virtual learning environments with ease.
My students attend school in a low income, high poverty school district. Most of their daily meals are provided at school through our free breakfast and free lunch program. Their home lives are very diverse. Some live with biological parents, many are helping raise siblings, others live with one parent or grandparent, while some are in foster care.
My first graders are resilient!
No matter what life throws at them, they overcome it to become the best they can be. My students are very hard working and always striving to achieve their full potential inside and outside the classroom.
My Project
If my project is funded, my students will be able to access and participate in their online learning environments effortlessly. Unfortunately, our current charging system is unreliable and incapable of charging all their tablets. This leaves students tablets unable to be used, while also creating a deficit in student learning and growth.
Having a charging station and charging cords for each of my students to properly charge their tablets will ensure my students can access and actively learn using our online platform.
Providing my students with headphones specifically for their developmental age will increase their learning by decreasing excess noise allowing them to better focus on their learning.
Unfortunately, many of my students do not have access to technology at home. So, when our technology is improperly working, it creates a larger learning deficit. Therefore, providing my students with technology that is charged and ready for them to utilize will increase their skills while also leveling the playing field and preparing them for the future.
