Help me give my students access to a charging station to impact their learning.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Pittman's classroom raised $692

My Students
I teach at a Title I elementary school that is over 80 years old. We lack many of the modern technologies of today's world. Over 95% of my students receive either free or reduced lunch.
My students put in a lot of effort to attend my school.
It is a medical magnet school so they ride a bus for over an hour to get to our school servicing students from all over the community including military families. We only have about 300 students so we are small and don't have the resources that a larger school might have.
My Project
We have a set of laptop computers but no easy way to charge them. Because my school is over 80 years old, it was built with only 5 outlets in the entire classroom and they are in the front of the classroom. It is very difficult to manage the charging of technology. This results in laptops not getting charged and then students can't use them for learning. With these charging stations, students will be able to easily find their cord and plug it in making it a sure thing that their laptop gets charged during the evening. I know this seems like a small thing but it would be a huge thing in our classroom.
When the laptops are usable we can use them for research in science and in our investigations.
They can read science articles and books. In math we can use online manipulatives and they can use their math learning software.
