My Project
All of our students want to become tech savvy. Our classes can only charge a couple of iPads safely at a time. A charging station could really cut down on wasted time and offer the convenience of having the iPads in one spot with a reliable way to keep them charged and ready. Students need this cart to ensure that their iPads are 100% and ready to take assessments, write/type research papers, conduct research, and engage in educational games in Math, Science, Social Studies, and ELA. In class the iPad cart will provide the opportunity for the kids to learn responsibility in keeping the iPads charged and in good working order. Also in the classroom the iPads charge in a fast and safe charging station, with the advantage of charging many at a time. This helps them with the basic idea of responsibility and taking care of borrowed items from the district. Having the technology at their fingertips will build confidence and will be a reliable source of learning and stain abreast of the the most current educational Apps, games, and testing scenarios. As they progress, they will be able to learn independent responsibility while building a community of students who have learned how to take care of an expensive piece of technology and to be able to practice teamwork through classroom jobs. We will be able to take these with us when we travel from class to class and not have to worry about half of the class not having a full charge when needed. First and foremost, it will give all students a chance to explore technology in a safe environment and will keep the lessons entertaining and up to date with the technological world.
