My Students
I teach in a Title I district, where the majority of students receive free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch. The students come to school ready to learn and know they are in a safe, loving environment. They come to us eager to learn and use the resources we have available to them. This group of students comes from backgrounds that lack appropriate resources for them to truly excel with their learning.
The students are coming to us ready to strive for the best.
My goal is to supply all I can, to ensure they will be successful and their future will continue to be bright.
My Project
Our district is fortunate enough to have 1:1 access to Chromebooks in our classrooms. We use our Chromebooks daily, which makes the batteries run low often. By having a charging cart, we can continue learning without the disruption of a dead Chromebook. We have run into the problem of students not being able to complete tasks with the rest of the class due to battery issues. With this cart, everyone can stay on the same page and technology can continue to run smoothly with our learning. Students become leaders and help one another with the use of technology when things run smoothly. This cart would be a great asset.
