My Project
By building the library in our counseling office, we will be able to teach kids important life lessons through literature. When students have the opportunity to connect with characters in a book, they can relate the characters' struggles or triumphs to their own lives, creating a lasting lesson.
This library will not only be used to reach students in our office and their classrooms, but also as resources for parents.
Partnering with parents and providing a link between home and school is critical part of what we do as educators and counselors. These books will be a great way to provide parents with trusted resources that echo the character building taught in our classrooms.
