This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am teaching K-5th grade reading small groups this year and have watched students work so hard to become better readers! I've seen so much growth and want to encourage their excitement for reading over summer break! The end of the school year is approaching and I am hoping (with your help) to get the chance to gift each student in my class with a book of their very own that they can keep at home. These books are specifically for my 4th grade class!
Having books at home fosters a home/school connection as students can show their families the reading skills they've been practicing at school!
