it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are truly incredible learners! They bring passion, kindness, and effort to the classroom each day. I have chosen books that represent a variety of interests and reading levels so that every child can find something to get excited about. These books will be placed in our classroom library so that students can browse, choose, and enjoy them daily as the school year winds down and they prepare for 3rd grade.
This year, I have watched my 2nd graders blossom as readers and citizens.
Nothing drives them more than the opportunity to work hard and excel, and I can proudly say that they give learning their all. One of my favorite things to observe is how they consolidate and apply the skills I have taught them during self-selected independent or partner reading. I cannot wait for them to explore different authors, meet brand new characters, reinforce prior knowledge, and learn amazing new things with this high-quality selection of texts.
