Teaching in today's world requires technology - technology is our future.
My culturally diverse classroom is comprised of 24 bright, creative and curious fifth grade students who are eager to learn through the use of technology - with each child having their own unique learning style, abilities and interests. But what is the one trait they all have in common? They LOVE and are intrigued with technology! Our Florida suburban elementary school thrives to be on the cutting edge of innovation but we need the resources to help us reach our full potential. With this technology, the possibilities are endless - learning will have no boundaries - the excitement is contagious!
My Project
As a teacher, I am eager to incorporate technology and its many educational advantages into my classroom. I want my students to facilitate online collaborative inquiry, research and exploration on an endless array of topics (visual representations, computer coding, reading comprehension, math computation) both within and beyond what is provided in our curriculum. Students can be offered activities to meet the demand for differentiated learning. It is our job to make certain our students are prepared for the future. These iPads will give our children endless opportunities for knowledge - the uses seem limited only by our limited imaginations.
Without a doubt, students today must be prepared to meet the vigorous demands of a society in which technology plays a larger role each and every day.
These iPads with cases will provide my students with the opportunity to engage not only in modern technology but also give them a platform through which they can build and deepen their skills for reading, research, inquiry, collaboration and writing. I want my students to change the world and with your generosity, the world is only a swipe away!
