My Project
I am so excited to be starting a new unit with my students this year; Bread! It is the first time I will be teaching this unit. I am looking for materials to help give my students the best hands on experience ; the materials I am requesting will without a doubt give them that opportunity. My class consist of students from different cultures and having different food items to explore will help us to learn about each other. The items I have requested will help in creating real life connections through exploration, hands on math through cooking, science experiments and endless conversations that we will be engaged in.
One thing that brings us all together is cooking; cooking is love made visible.
In creating an ultimate hands on experience ; I am requesting a mini oven and a doughnut maker. My students will be able to follow recipes, learn to measure and get a chance eat what they have made. How amazing is that!
