This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The Leadership Techniques and Strategies courses are designed to teach high school students life skills. Communication, collaboration, and servant leadership are the primary focus of each learning activity.
Creating student leaders, using the Changemakers through Leadership and Service project seeks go beyond short-term community service by providing students with lessons on governmental engagement, public policy issues, and how to legislate policy into action.
David C. Novak's book Taking People WIth You serves as a resource for the students in the Leadership Techniques and Strategies courses as they navigate through the process of community based problem-solving using the Lead4Change curriculum.
