My Students

For some of my students this is their first year in a classroom since Kindergarten! Throughout COVID, their learning has changed in many ways and because of this they have many different needs. My students are excited to learn and I want to help them succeed in all ways possible.

My Project

Since my students were not able to be in a classroom for over a year, their learning has been impacted in many ways. My students need more practice progress monitoring to help them be successful in reading. An iPad can increase the opportunities and ways I can help my students practice reading and keep track of their improvement. The iPad will help me utilize aides and other helpers to keep track of my students' progress. It will also allow me to customize learning for lower and higher students who need a little extra support.

Flexible seating will also help my students focus and have a new opportunity to learn other than their desk or the floor, especially as they adjust to being back in a classroom after online learning for 1.5 years.

The organization is also key to helping students learn. With storage, I can provide my students with a way to find what they need and better see what is available to them in the classroom. Through this storage, my students will better find books on their level and ones they are interested in to keep them engaged. They also deserve a clean space to work in!
