My Students
Do you remember what it was like to be in school and learning math? At times it can be boring. However with this magazine we are able to do activities as well as learn by seeing real-life problems students may face.
My students come from a small beach city in Southern California.
Our school district has two schools in it with a total of approximately 940 students in our school. In a time when budgets force schools to cut back, we are blessed with parents and donors who want to step in and help.
My Project
We are asking for a class set of math magazines from Scholastic to help challenge us as well as allow us to see real-life problems that involve math. Students don't want to only learn from the book. They need to know how what they learn in school is actually used in real life situations. This magazine does just that!
This project is important because it gives students the opportunity to learn a different way.
With hands on activities, real life situations, and opportunities to be challenged this is a great tool for our students.
