We have amazing students at Arleta School. They are thoughtful, kind, industrious, and brilliant. I love teaching here.
Unfortunately, our furniture is not amazing.
We have a mixture of old, heavy chairs that are not the correct size for desks or bodies. The chairs are left over from when we had grades six, seven, and eight, so they are designed for much larger people. They are so heavy that many of the students have a hard time moving them or putting them on their desktops at the end of the day. They also do not fit well under the desks, making them impossible to move.
I also included a few stools so kids can easily carry a seat to a small group.
The final items on the list are a few books for our classroom because we can always use some new books.
