Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My first grade students may be young, but they are brimming with curiosity and the motivation to learn.
This year, my students are incredibly loving and accepting.
For many of them, a COVID virtual education was a reality. I love seeing the excitement and joy they express from being physically in-school, and with each other.
My Project
This school year, teachers at my school were given the opportunity to redesign our classrooms. It has been a learning experience around types of seating, collaborative furniture design, and maximizing space.
Unfortunately, half of the chairs we had ordered have proven to be very weak and expendable.
As a result, we have to order some new chairs that will be more long-lasting and sustainable!
This project will provide some functional seating for my classroom and our students. It will complement some of the more flexible seating that I already have in my classroom!
