My Students

Have you ever had that "senior moment" when you can't find your keys? It's happened to all of us. We tend to blame it on age but the reality is lack of organization.

I teach at a school where it is our mission to provide a positive learning environment where every student is given the opportunity to fulfill their individual potential.

We teach students of many diverse backgrounds and some come to us with many life challenges. My school is a host school for students who reside at local shelters, as well as, being a successful French Immersion school where the preservation of the French language is also our mission.

My Project

Instilling organizational skills to first graders can be challenging at first but once they master that skill it becomes very rewarding. Having a "chairback buddy" will enable my students to be prepared for learning throughout the day. They will have easy access to items they need quickly instead of spending time looking inside their desk for these items. Book Buddy Reading Bags, writing journals, and notebooks will be quickly accessible with these seat storage sacks.

Having my little first graders become organized students and becoming responsible ones, as well, for their belongings teaches them a life-long skill that they will use throughout their educational life and hopefully won't lose their keys!
