Help me give my students the sensory input they need to stay on task!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our awesome, K-2nd grade, Mild to Moderate Special Day Class students are smart and eager to learn. Although the Kindergarten students have not been in school due to closures, they demonstrate curiosity for learning. Likewise, students in 2nd grade show the desire to learn and the positive attitude necessary for school success.
My Project
Children who exhibit characteristics of autism need constant sensory input in order to function and make progress in our classroom. The common regular classroom chairs are hard and uncomfortable for most of my students. If we need to move from one place in the classroom to another, students often need help to pick these up because they are so heavy and noisy, noise they do not like!
These chairs will adapt the environment to my students, instead of making my students adapt to the environment.
The chairs bounce and move while students continue to work. They obtain sensory input needed to function and stay on task. After a long day of work and running around, sitting in a comfortable bean bag with a book in hand, from our class library is the ideal close to a busy school day. Bean bags provide gently pressure on students as they perform more calming and clos-ofe-the-day activities.
