Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
CGI trainings over the last 10 years as changed my lense on how I teach math. Students really enjoy math in my classrooms and I plan to continue my CGI journey with taking more trainings. As an educator it is important to always challenge yourself to improve your practice so you can enhance students learning opportunities.
I have found that using consistent vocabulary, and strategies to teach math has strengthened my students’ capacity to engage in critical, meaningful, and purposeful math exploration.
These math kits will be used in small group CGI work and have all the materials I need for the various math units I have to teach throughout the year.
