Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
CGI Math also lends itself to giving students self-confidence. Since CGI focuses on students sharing their mathematical thinking, students get used to sharing ideas and learning from other peers. This will help them in the future when they must do presentations. If students aren't used to sharing their thinking aloud, they sometimes become overwhelmed when asked to do that in academic settings.
These CGI materials will allow math to be interactive, and allow them to use hands-on activities for fun math projects.
I will use the various counters for counting collections. With the modeling clay, we will build math robots out of various shapes.
