This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you love to play in the mud? There's something about cold wet clay that makes people smile. This year we are studying art history. Our students need clay and glazes they can use with our art projects have several kid pottery wheels and plan on doing many clay projects this year.
Our students come from 4 different schools and several private schools.
All of our Gifted center pulls from are title one schools and the budget keeps getting tighter and tighter each year. That's why I create donor's choose projects on a yearly basis to continue to enrich, challenge and inspire these bright students.
My Project
The clay and glazes will be used during our journey to discover art history in Gifted and used throughout the school year as they get "messy" with ceramic art projects inspired by the famous historical artists we study. Clay is an amazing process taking earth from the ground and making it into a beautiful piece of art work that the students can cherish for years to come!
Our budget this year was $47.00 to get the school year started.
This barely covered paintbrushes and paper with nothing more to spare. In order to really go in depth with art history, we must dig deep within the donors choose site and dig out some clay and glazes needed for some amazing pottery projects for our Gifted students. The students will be challenged and inspired if given the opportunity to work with these wonderful art materials this year. I strongly hope you consider donating!
