My Students

My school is a Title I school, with most of my students living in poverty. My students are loving and hardworking, yet unfortunately, they face many challenges both in and out of the classroom. I'm inspired by my students as they show great perseverance no matter the challenges they face. They come to school ready to take in the day's educational adventures. Because most of my students come from low-income families, the majority of the items (ranging from basic school supplies to books to facial tissues and more) are supplied by me.

Many of my students have never been to a structured environment setting before, so I'm excited to provide them with the most fun and warm learning environment that I can.

My Project

I am requesting alphabet cards, counting activities and dry erase boards. Half of my students are currently learning from home and the other half are learning in the classroom. Students at our school come from low-income families so they are not able to afford basic school supplies. Most of the supplies are provided by the teacher. I want to give my students the supplies and resources they deserve to be successful at home and school.

My students are kind, loving, and truly want to do well in school.

Money should not stand in the way of a child being able to learn at the highest level. My students will use the resources I am requesting to practice letter sound and math concepts. This will help my students thrive both in and out of the classroom. I am seeking snap and build reading and math centers for student to work on by themselves when we do centers. They are unable to work with others and share materials at this time, so these activities would be perfect for them to work on at their desks. I also am requesting whiteboards for my students to use at home during our live lessons so they can hold up there answers for me to see through the camera.
