I am implementing centers based learning for my special education students with emotional and behavioral needs. My students come from many backgrounds as our district serves a community of diversity and resilience. My students abilities range from beginning reader to more advanced readers. They are also in grades 3, 4, and 5 so it’s a small group with several grade levels and a large range of abilities. This will allow me to better meet their educational needs. With centers I can work more individually with each child ensuring growth in their educational goals. With centers I will be able to meet kids where they are even more and challenge them at their specific levels. Centers are an engaging, hands on, fun way to get kids excited about their learning.
