My Students
My kindergarten class is made up of a diverse group of four and five year olds. These students bring in such a wide variety of ideas and experiences. Every day I look forward to greeting their smiling faces in person this year.
My students enjoy coming to school every day to gain new information.
Distance learning was challenging last year and now that we are back to some “normalcy” I want my students to grow their fine motor skills and to actually hold books!
My Project
As well as repetition, students need organization and structure. In Kindergarten, we do centers for Reading and Math and this can create a chaos without organization. The wooden cubby with clear plastic bins will hold our ELA , Writing, and Math centers, which may include letter recognition (RF.K.1d), letter sounds (RF.K.3a), sounding out words (RF.K.2d), writing different types of sentences (W.K.1, W.K.2, W.K.3, W.K.4) and many more. They will also house our Math centers, such as counting forward from any given number (CC.K.2), writing numbers (CCK.3), counting objects and telling how many (CC.K.4), comparing shapes (K.G.4), and many more.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
