My Students
My students are incoming Pre-K students in a Title I-funded school in the South Bronx. Many of them speak a language other than English and I try to use their language knowledge to build a community of diverse learners. Pre-K is their first introduction to the world of school and I can't wait to show them all it has to offer!
My Project
Center time is an important part of our Pre-K classroom daily schedule. During center time students are given the opportunity to explore a variety of areas including the math, science, and dramatic play centers. In my project cart you will find toy household furniture to enhance the children's imagination (e.g., toy washing machine), as well as materials to use to explore their math and science skills (e.g., measure items with the scale, examine items with the microscope). Thank you in advance for helping me provide a world of imagination and possibility to my students!
