This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The more organized we are, the smoother our classroom runs! Folders and labels will help me keep all of our center activities organized. When our supplies are organized, it helps the students be self sufficient. Everything is easy to find for students.

When students know exactly what they need because it is labeled and organized by color, they can get their own supplies and take responsibility for their learning!

I believe that even young students should take an active role in their learning. One of the key ways I encourage responsibility and independence is by helping students manage their own supplies and materials. This not only builds their organizational skills but also empowers them to take ownership of their education.

To support this, we use color-coded folders and labels. These tools make it easier for students to keep track of their assignments. This simple yet effective system helps them develop good organizational habits early on and allows them to independently gather their materials when it’s time for centers.

Whisper phones are an essential tool for helping our beginner readers build confidence and fluency. They allow students to hear themselves as they read aloud, which is crucial for developing their reading skills. What makes whisper phones especially valuable in a classroom setting is that they allow students to focus on their reading without disturbing others.
