My Project

I teach a diverse group of second graders from a low-income/high-poverty area. Most of my students struggle with the idea of schoolwork. They don't get a lot of help from home and any educational experiences they get are done at school.

My students are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions!

They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration! With that comes struggles. We are in need of basic materials to help with independent center time, including sheet protectors, paper, and more.
