My Students

Magnetic resources for math are great when you want a student to get a concept. Dry erase markers and cling sheets allow everyone to have their input! Fraction tiles and circles give that little extra in teaching fractions, percents, and decimals properly. And we most definitely need a cart to store it all.

My class is made-up of Special Education students who need just a little more attention than most high school students.

I have to go that extra mile everyday to ensure they "get it." We are a public school that was highly affected by Hurricane Katrina and now the devastating budget cuts.

My Project

With the Magnetic Kit we can do many different activities: working with and identifying money, telling time, and place value just to name a few. Fractions, percentages, and decimals seem to be the hardest concept for my students to understand. The dry erase markers and cling-on sheets will let my student express themselves on paper that will stick to the wall, diagrams, charts, etc. And last we need something to store all our new supplies in so they will be readily accessible.

We need your help to be the best we can be.
