My Students
My kindergarten students are back in physical school this year and are in need of hands-on materials and storage for those materials. The pandemic has changed the dynamic of my classroom leaving student's needing to be more interactive with materials and each other. My students come from varied backgrounds with varied experiences and levels of reading and math competency. But, they are all eager to absorb themselves in any materials that are available to them. These interactives will enhance their learning experience.
My Project
My students need a variety of math, fine motor, and language activities to incorporate into our busy kindergarten day. This 4-way teach and store center will allow another station in that day. We have a very hands-on classroom that keeps my students busy and actively engaged in their learning. The magnetic number tiles, alphabet sounds magnets, and 3 letter puzzles will allow more of those hands-on activities. Because of the pandemic, my students need centers that allow them to interact with materials and each other. They need more social interaction. They have missed out on those experiences in their previous education whether virtual or at-home.
When students are working with hands-on activities, they are more engaged in their learning while having fun and growing their young minds and bodies.
This storage and new materials will help to provide this interactive opportunity for my students.
