My Students
I’m a preschool teacher and I love my students
we talk about being kind to friends and with ourselves.
When we see a kid being kind to others, being gentle with their bodies I feel so proud of them, and this is one of the things that makes my class special, because working with this little ones is having the opportunity to share and see how they learn so fast and apply what they learn, work together and choose what our goal will be every day.
I will let you know a little secret; as a preschool teacher, I love my job. And why wouldn’t I? Teachers are some of the most important professionals in the world. Sure, it’s rewarding.
And yes, I shape the minds of the future. But what are the not-so-well-known reasons preschool teachers choose to spend their days with three, four, and five-year-olds?, Working with my little preschoolers it's rewarding in my heart, just looking their sincere eyer, their smiles and having everyday hugs and a million of beautiful phrases, teaching them every day and looking how they grow up and show their skills makes my heart happy.
My Project
To begin with, center time allows children in PRE-K to grow in their social skills. They can interact with their peers during this time, and it is happening almost constantly. Centers can help children socially:
Kids need to find a way to join in playing :
They need to negotiate the guidelines for what they’ll be doing in the center.
One child may want some time to herself at a center, and she needs to express that to her friends.
Children constantly work on who is using what material at any given time, and if they’re willing to share that with some friends.
A child might be struggling with a task he very much wants to do. He can ask a friend for help, a friend could offer to help, The center of feelings help them to express their emotions, they can talk with the teacher or friends and negotiate what they feel or just be themselves and stay there and enjoy the place.
Center time is a safe place to make mistakes. This seems like such a small aspect of the conversation, but it is so very important. Mistakes are a part of the learning process, and the center of the feelings and emotions allows for a low-stress time for them. One of the most important things I try to teach my children is to understand and name their feelings. It’s an important lesson for children to realize that different emotions are okay and to recognize those feelings in themselves and eventually in others. It’s especially important for kids to know they don’t always have to feel happy. That it’s normal to feel sad, shy or even jealous. Once children learn to understand how they are feeling, they can understand others.
