Help me give my students a learning environment with less distractions from devices.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Travis's classroom raised $227

My Project
Student cell phones have become a tremendous distraction to learning in the last few years. Phone apps are specifically designed to make it difficult to look away, and most teachers can not compete with apps like TikTok, Instagram, and Snapchat, no matter how exciting our lessons.
However, students still need a sense of personal agency and control over their devices, which is why our team has been looking for another alternative.
Students will place their phones in the case at the start of class. Some of us will also be attaching chargers through the back of the case so that our students can charge their phones.
Once class starts, we will lock the case so that students do not have to worry about their devices going missing. Also, since the box is portable, we'll take the box out with us on fire drills, so students know their devices are safe.
A few of the teachers on our staff have already piloted this project with great success, so we are hoping to spread it to the rest of our middle school classrooms.
Thank you for helping our students with their learning.
