My Students

I teach in a multi-age classroom of children between the ages of 3-6. Our school is one of the few public Montessori Schools in our city. My students are very active and enjoy different hands-on activities.

"The first duty of an education is to stir up life, but leave it free to develop." These are Dr. Maria Montessori's words and I need your help to stir up my children's learning and entice their thirst for knowledge!

My Project

"Education of even a very small child... does not aim at preparing him for school, but for life."-Dr. Montessori

Maria Montessori tells us to show children the grandeur of the world, so in return, they will gain awareness of the connections they have with it.

My aim for this project is to expose my students to different celebrations in the world. They would learn about the differences and similarities they have with each other. This would encourage acceptance and community building. I hope teaching this year-long unit will prepare my students in becoming global citizens who are accepting and honoring of each other.
