My Project

This year, my class has been doing a year-long study of holidays and celebrations around the world! So far, we have learned about fall and winter holidays like Diwali, Halloween, Dia de los Muertos, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Christmas.

These books will help us learn about spring holidays like Valentine's Day, Easter, Holi, Ramadan, Passover, St Patrick's day, and Cinco de Mayo!

Learning about holidays, especially those that we don't celebrate, is important for students as they learn about the world around them. It is my hope that, through this learning, my students will show understanding, appreciation, and respect for the holidays and celebrations of others.
