Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is rich in both traditional and cutting-edge educational instruction. We proudly provide our scholars with a strong academic program that includes project-based learning, use of technology in the classroom, digital learning, various reading incentive programs and learning platforms tailored to each student's learning needs and aspirations.
We are a Vanguard (Gifted) Title I school.
Our energetic learners thrive on rigorous and challenging lessons. We have a vast academic curriculum including visual arts and robotics.
My Project
This year I have the honor of putting together our first Annual Girl's Day Program here on our campus. The theme is "Celebrating Unity & Sisterhood". We plan to decorate the room in a tea party style. There will be some amazing women that will be speaking to our students as well.
Our goal is to show the students that they can achieve and accomplish anything they strive for.
We want them to hear from women who were HISD students just like them and attended Ivy League schools, became Miss America, and started their own Fortune 500 company! Our planning committee would be grateful for any donation and sponsorship towards making this program a success!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
