This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We currently teach in an ICT settings, all of our students are english language learners or students with disabilities. They have worked so hard this year and have made amazing progress, we would like to reward each of our students with an end of the year goodie bag for their hard work. The gifts in this would be to celebrate the hard work of our students. Our students have limited access to literature and on level books so we have included a book in their end of the year gift as a way to keep them reading during the summer.
Furthermore, with the end of the school year we must also prepare for the new school year.
Many of our classroom materials have been well loved and in need of replacement to make sure our upcoming students make the same progress. Our Elmo is an essential part of our shared reading instruction and needs to be replaced. Our teacher tool box, where we keep our supplies organized for effective small group instruction also need to be replaced so we have included the acrylic organizers.
This project is to celebrate the accomplishments of our students as well as prepare to offer our best to the students who will be arriving in the new school year.
